I’ve been where you are - navigating big life transitions, balancing competing priorities, and feeling the weight of big decisions. By the time we moved to Tucson, it was our sixth state and seventh move, with five of those moves packed into just a 10-year period!

Over that decade, we sold five homes, bought six, and lived in rentals and with family in between. No, we aren’t military, we moved for jobs, family, and ultimately, because we fell in love with Tucson and wanted to build our lives here.

I’ve lived it, breathed it, and experienced all sides of the process. That’s why my approach is different: I don’t just guide you through the steps; I empower you to feel confident and informed every step of the way.

My journey into real estate wasn’t a straight line. It was a winding path shaped by passion, purpose, and a little bit of serendipity.  I began my career in science and academia, dedicating years to amplifying underrepresented voices and working on community-focused initiatives.

It was meaningful work that taught me the power of connection and the importance of advocacy.  But life took me in a different direction when I decided to homeschool my children—a deeply rewarding choice that ultimately made returning to the workforce more challenging.  Traditional career paths didn’t recognize the skills I’d gained during those years, and I realized I needed to carve out a new one for myself - something that reflected my values and allowed me to make a tangible impact.

That’s when I found real estate. At first, it seemed like an unexpected pivot, but the more I explored it, the more it felt like the perfect fit.  Real estate offered me the opportunity to help people navigate life’s biggest transitions, build meaningful connections, and leave a lasting impact in my community.

Growing up in the mountains of North Carolina, I learned early on that a home isn’t just a structure; it’s where life unfolds. I watched my dad build our family’s home - a modest but thoughtful space designed to support our lives and values.

That experience shaped my belief that a home should be a place where people feel supported, inspired, and truly at ease. As I embarked on my real estate journey, I kept thinking about a question that had lingered from my academic years: How could I turn awareness into action?  In academia, we often used land acknowledgments to honor Indigenous communities, but I began to wonder - could these acknowledgments lead to real change? 

What if every home sale gave back to the people whose land we live on?  This question continues to guide me today. 

I help professionals and relocation clients navigate buying and selling homes with clarity, confidence, and care, ensuring their homes align with their values and aspirations.

At the same time, I’m exploring ways to give back to the Indigenous communities whose land we occupy, weaving purpose into every transaction.  For me, real estate is about more than buying or selling - it’s about creating spaces where people can truly thrive. 

It’s about helping clients navigate transitions with purpose, connect with their communities, and build a future that reflects their values and dreams.

A classic latte, always local, always delicious. If we’re meeting, I’ll likely suggest a local coffee house. Cafe Luce (my go-to for the perfect plain latte) and Revolutionary Grounds (offering the best sugar-free syrup options I’ve found in Tucson!) are two of my favorite spots. 

Bookworm at Heart
When I was young, you’d find me under the covers with a flashlight after bedtime, devouring non-fiction or losing myself in fantastical worlds. I was captivated by Anne McCaffrey's Dragonriders of Pern series and Orson Scott Card's Ender's Game. Fun fact: Orson Scott Card was the commencement speaker at my high school graduation (North Carolina School of Science and Math)!

Chalkboard Artist Extraordinaire
I discovered my love for chalkboard art while homeschooling my kids with a Waldorf-inspired curriculum. Now, I celebrate my kids' birthdays by creating special chalkboard art designs just for them - an annual tradition filled with love and creativity.

Rescue Pup
Hooch, my lab-pit mix, is the true ruler of the household and a local celebrity. As WOOFstock's 2021 Cover Dog Winner, he’s not just a beloved family member - he’s famous! Read more about his journey here.

Favorite Escape
Hiking Sabino Canyon’s breathtaking trails (though Hooch stays home for those) or exploring the neighborhood washes together brings me peace. There’s nothing like connecting with Tucson’s natural beauty.

Handcrafting Expert
When faced with a new project, I dive deep into research and become a mini-expert in no time. From re-caning rocking chairs I brought back from the Peace Corps to designing custom weighted blankets for my son, I’ve mastered the art of asking the right questions and adapting plans to suit the moment.
